Prepress
At Smyth Companies, Bedford, making the most of technology is one of our main priorities. We employ a best-of-breed workflow, encorporating open source technologies whenever possible to avoid single-vendor lock-in. Employees use the latest computer-based prepress equipment and software tools to production enable your digital material for printing. Our top notch operators are skilled in a vast array of digital prepress practices, which gives our customers a competitive edge, today, and in the future.
We are a full service printer. Whether you only have a concept you would like developed working with our in-house art department, or you are prepared to send in print-ready files, we are able to accomodate you at the level of service you require.
Litho
Making your product look fantastic is what we do best. We can handle up to 8 lithographic colors with water based acrylic coating or up to 7 colors with varnish overcoat. Metallized or synthetic substrates are no problem. Standard papers are, of course, available. We have extensive experience running 4 color process, 6 color hex processes, or any combination of process and spot colors.
Finishing
In the finishing department, we take care to make sure your goods are cut and shipped precisely the way you want them. To that end, we are making a large investment in new technology in our finishing department to reduce errors, decrease lead times, and give you an overall better customer experience. Our customers are our #1 priority. Whether you need strip cut or die cut labels, we can do what you need.
